Brookfield Private Equity is recruiting for an Analyst, Private Equity in our Toronto office. The role represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team with a long history of executing successful investments in a variety of industries and geographies with deep financial and operational turnaround roots.
The role represents an opportunity to play a key role in a growing deal team with a focus on sourcing, analyzing and executing our private equity investments. The responsibilities for this position would include the following:
Conducting research to support the development of investment strategies and to identify transaction opportunities.
Executing due diligence tasks in evaluating new and existing investment opportunities.
Performing extensive independent work in the development of financial models including valuation, M&A and credit modeling.
Assisting with the preparation of presentations, memos, and other analyses to support new and existing investments; and participates in the ongoing management and monitoring of both the financial and operational aspects of portfolio investments, including assisting management teams with various corporate development initiatives and managing and coordinating internal financial reporting needs for portfolio investments.

Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Strong understanding of applied investment and valuation analysis; and advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).University degree in finance or business.
1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably two years in investment banking, accounting or consulting. Private equity experience is an asset.
Experienced in conducting research and due diligence, evaluating transaction opportunities, performing financial and valuation analysis, and producing “client ready” investment materials.
